Postdocnet

The institute’s Postdocnet is the interdepartmental representation of all postdoctoral researchers working at the Max-Planck-Institut für Eisenforschung (MPIE). Since October 2021, the Postdocnet promotes interdisciplinary cooperation and supports postdocs’ careers and networking at the MPIE. The internal Postdocnet representatives are Baptiste Bienvenu, Aparna Saksena and Bárbara Bellón with Patricia Jovičević-Klug,  being the external representative. In cooperation with the Postdocnet of the Max-Planck Society. They provide information on funding opportunities and activities. They promote social activities to get to know their fellow colleagues and improve interactions amongst them. Additionally, a young talent’s teaching program is organized in-house where postdoctoral fellows give a series of teaching lectures for leveraging teaching experience before their next career steps. They also provide information of the mentoring services and helping services for families.
