Career Consulting
At the Max Planck Institute for Sustainable Materials, we are dedicated to fostering the careers of scientists at all levels.
Katja Hübel, Research Coordinator, guides researchers in identifying the most suitable funding opportunities – whether German, European, or international – and in developing strong, competitive proposals. She also advises on broader career development strategies, helping scientists take the next step in their professional journey.
Christina Scheu, head of the group Nanoanalytics and Interfaces, serves as the Institute’s mentor for female scientists aspiring to advance in academia, including those aiming for professorships. She offers individual coaching on enhancing CVs, strengthening leadership skills, and preparing for job interviews. A key focus of her mentoring is to support and encourage more women to pursue leadership positions, including becoming group leaders at MPI-SusMat.
