Welcome to Max Planck Institute for Sustainable Materials in Düsseldorf! Our International Office offers support to organize your trip to Germany and settle in Düsseldorf.

To ensure a good start at the institute, the MPI SusMat supports our international scientists during your relocation to Germany. The International Office aims to facilitate your stay in Germany and thus helps you in focussing on your research!

Before Arrival

Whether you’re coming for a short stay or for several years, contact us as soon as you know you’ll be coming to Düsseldorf. We’ll help you decide which type of visa applies to your situation and provide you with the necessary documents and support for:
