The conference site, Ringberg Castle, belongs to the Max-Planck Society and is beautifully located in the foothills of the Bavarian Alps (Germany) overlooking lake Tegernsee.
The conference organizers will coordinate your accomodation. For room details please look here.
Arriving by plane you should choose the Munich airport "F.-J. Strauß" (MUC) as your destination. From there, please take the S-Bahn to Munich Hauptbahnhof (Munich's main railway station; travel approx. 40min). From there change onto the train for Tegernsee (platform 27 - 36), departing every hour:
- Munich central station (Hauptbahnhof) 13:04 - Tegernsee 14:09,
- Munich central station (Hauptbahnhof) 14:04 - Tegernsee 15:09,
- Munich central station (Hauptbahnhof) 15:04 - Tegernsee 16:09, etc.
Please note, that the train is split in Schaftlach. Make sure that you sit in the right car. We will try to organize a shuttle from Tegernsee station to the castle for the three trains above. Otherwise, you will have to take a taxi. For more detailed information please look here.
