Upcoming Workshops

The workshop will bring together leading scientist in  from both theory and experiment investigating electron-transfer dynamics at interfaces to discuss possibilities, requirements and challenges for the predictive modelling of electron-transfer dynamics, with a focus on electrochemical solid/liquid interfaces.

Previous Workshops

The workshop will focus on the recent progress in the development and application of complex materials such as steels, superalloys and high-entropy alloys. The main topics of this (9th) ADIS workshop, will be digitalization and workflows, including machine learning approaches.
17. - 18. August 2023
Max-Planck-Institut für Eisenforschung
The workshop will bring together leading scientist from both theory and experiment to review the status and evaluate future opportunities regarding theory led design of materials to address the challenges of the 21st century.
The workshop will bring together leading scientist from both theory and experiment investigating solid/liquid interfaces to evaluate where we stand and to discuss the opportunities to achieve a truly microscopic understanding of the electochemical interace and double layer by incorporting insights from the atomistic and electronic scale.
The workshop will focus on the recent progress in the development and application of ab initio based methods for the description of iron, steels and other metallic materials. The main topics of this (8th) ADIS workshop, will be diffusion and precipitation, including their nucleation, interfaces, phase stability and hardening effects.
