Electrically triggered reactions at interfaces – from ab initio to the multiscale
The workshop aims at a discussion of the requirements, challenges and possibilities for an effective description of moderate to intense electric field and its effect on liquid, matter and isolated atoms and particles. We expect stimulating discussions on recent results and scientific concepts.
***This workshop has unfortunately been canceled due to the spread of Coronavirus and widespread travel restrictions. Please contact the organizers at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any further questions***
The exchange of ideas between seemingly different fields often drives discrete leaps in scientific progress, particularly in areas where scientists face similar methodological problems. Advances in the development of modeling techniques for electrically-triggered reactions has clear benefits for a broad range of scientif- ic fields. This workshop will foster and promote such advances, with a focus on modeling moderate to intense electric fields to understand their effects on solids, liquids, and isolated atoms and particles. We expect stimulating discussions on recent results and scientific concepts.
