van Bohemen, S. M. C.; Morsdorf, L.: Predicting the Ms temperature of steels with a thermodynamic based model including the effect of the prior austenite grain size. Acta Materialia 125, pp. 401 - 415 (2017)
Here the focus lies on investigating the temperature dependent deformation of material interfaces down to the individual microstructural length-scales, such as grain/phase boundaries or hetero-interfaces, to understand brittle-ductile transitions in deformation and the role of chemistry or crystallography on it.
In this project, we aim to enhance the mechanical properties of an equiatomic CoCrNi medium-entropy alloy (MEA) by interstitial alloying. Carbon and nitrogen with varying contents have been added into the face-centred cubic structured CoCrNi MEA.
