Research interests

Andrea’s research activity is in the characterization of thin film metallic glasses (TFMGs). The main focuses are the study of the effect of composition on mechanical properties and thermal stability of amorphous metallic films, to achieve better understanding of structure–properties relations, and the synthesis of novel nanostructured TFMGs with complex architecures and enhanced mechanical properties.

Metallic glasses; Advanced film architectures; Micromechanics; Thermal stability
