Research interests:

To improve the applicability of thin films, for example longer stability in miniaturized technologies, a good understanding of the thermodynamics of these systems is required. Farnaz is interested in studying the solid state dewetting behavior of these films. She uses scanning and transmission electron microscopy techniques to characterize the films in the as-deposited state as well as after dewetting.
