Baptiste Gault and Dierk Raabe selected as new Humboldt scouts
Alexander von Humboldt Foundation goes new ways to recruit talented researchers
Dr. Baptiste Gault, head of the group "Atom Probe Tomography", and Prof. Dierk Raabe, director of the department "Microstructure Physics and Alloy Design" at the MPIE, were selected by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH) as Humboldt scouts. The scouting programme of the AvH was just recently set up to recruit talented researchers from all over the world for a research stay in Germany. As scouts, Gault and Raabe have the chance to select three talented researchers for their own research groups. The selected researchers will receive a Humboldt Fellowship and are able to directly join the respective group in Germany.
The AvH selects scouts according to their research track record, international visibility and networking skills. Being a Humboldt scout not only means having the chance to recruit new talents but also serves as a proof for the high international reputation of the scout.
