The influence of carbon content distribution in retained austenite on elongation of TRIP Steel

The influence of carbon content distribution in retained austenite on elongation of TRIP Steel

In order to improve the elongation of AHSS, the effect of the carbon content distribution on deformation induced martensite transformation behavior and work hardening behavior in TRIP steel with high Carbon content.

The carbon content distribution in retained austenite was changed by holding time for austemper. And higher elongation was indicated in wider carbon content distribution. Comparing carbon content in retained austenite after deformation, high carbon content retained austenite was transformed at high strain around instability region and elongation was improved.
