GDCh-Prize for Applied Electrochemistry awarded to Angel Topalov

The German Chemical Society announced that the 2013 GDCh-Prize for Applied Electrochemistry is awarded to Angel A. Topalov, PhD Student at the Electrocatalysis group of Dr. Karl J.J. Mayrhofer. The GDCh-Prize for Applied Electrochemistry is given once a year to a scientist of less than 30 years for recent outstanding scientific contribution in the field, donated by BASF. The prize was awarded to Angel A. Topalov for his work on investigating dissolution pathways of platinum by the developed in-situ mass spectrometry technique. The prize will be presented at the GDCh-Wissenschaftsforum Chemie 2013 in Darmstadt, Germany (1-4 September 2013).
