Main Focus

Iridium-based catalysts for water splitting applications

  • Surface composition/structure changes during catalyst synthesis and operation
  • Understanding degradation mechanisms
  • Development of structure-function relationships

I develop my main expertise around synchrotron-based (in-situ) surface spectroscopy techniques and atom probe tomography. Correlative experiments combining those methods help to link surface properties of materials to their local atomic-scale chemistry.
