Dr. Marian Bruns (he/him)
Main Focus
- atomistic simulation of metallic glasses and their thermo-mechanical behavior
- workflows for materials science
- digital infrastructure components for materials science
I'm working on those topics in the framework of the compound-projects NFDI-MatWerk and Platform Material Digital. Besides writing scientific workflows using pyiron, I am working there mainly on interfacing various digital components from inside workflows: Authentication and Authorization providers for controlled data-access, triplestores (and services hosting those) for accessing semantically annotated data and the deployment of computing services for workflow development and execution on cloud-platforms, distributed networks and classical high-performance computing setups.
