Mechanics meets Energy 2022

Mechanics meets Energy 2022

After a 2 year break between symposia due to COVID-19, the 9th instalment of Mechanics Meets Energy took place at Schloß Ringberg between 9-14th January 2022. With blue skies and surrounded by snow, a smaller contingent of 26 presented their scientific work and engaged in rigorous and extended discussion. In addition to scientific talks, spirited group discussions surrounding important topics such as workplace diversity also took place. Opportunities were also taken to hike around the inspiring Tegernsee region, and build valuable in-person connections between colleagues. We thank the team from Schloß Ringberg for their efforts in hosting our symposium in such a wonderful location, and Carola Merten is also warmly thanked for all the efforts in coordinating the trip.
