Accommodation

  • The accommodation costs for all invited speakers and BIGmax scientists are funded by the BIGmax network.
  • Participants employed at the MPIE use their private accommodation.
  • The participants are hosted in the following hotels:
    • Hotel Haus am Zoo: Sybelstraße 21, 40239 Düsseldorf
    • Heidelberger Hof: Grafenberger Allee 103, 40237 Düsseldorf
  • Free WiFi and breakfast are included.
  • All personal extras, which the participants order during their stay, have to be paid by the participants. Other than that, there is a single bill for all participants who stay in the hotel. At check-in, it thus suffices to mention that one is "a participant of the Max-Planck-Institut für Eisenforschung's BIGmax workshop".
  • All participants should communicate whether they plan to check-in on April, 19th or April 20th. Please assist us in our planning with communicating your arrival date as early as possible. The hotel units will be distributed based on the arrival date.
  • To reduce unnecessary costs we kindly ask all participants to communicate whether they wish to take the breakfast or not. At the latest the participants should indicate this at check-in.
