Hands-on exercises

To cover practical aspects of the daily-scientific work four hands-on-exercises will be performed in the labs of the MPIE. These comprise:

• Nanoindentation (Dr. Benoit Merle, several indenters available)

• EBSD (Dr. Stefan Zäfferer, Zeiss Merlin)

• Fracture Mechanics (Dr. Rafael Soler, Zeiss Gemini 500)

• Thin Film Mechanics (Dr. Maya Kini, Wafer Curvature)

The exercises are scheduled to last for approximately 2 hours each.
