Alexander von Humboldt Foundation selects Vivek Devulapalli to attend Summer School

Vivek Devulapalli, PhD student in the group "Advanced Transmission Electron Microscopy", was able to compete with 350 applicants for the International Science Communication Summer School. The school is organised by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and enables junior scientists to explain their research in a generally understandable way.

Vivek Devulapalli, PhD student in the group "Advanced Transmission Electron Microscopy", was able to compete with 350 applicants for the International Science Communication Summer School. How do we communicate science in ways that are interesting and good to understand? What is the relationship between communication and research? The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation is organizing an International Summer School enabling junior scientists to communicate their research to public audience. More than 350 junior scientists from all over Europe applied to participate in this event. Vivek Devulapalli, PhD student in the group "Advanced Transmission Electron Microscopy " at the department for "Structure and Nano-/Micromechanics of Materials", won the competition and is one of 50 winners travelling to Berlin in August.

The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation promotes research in Germany by a variety of scholarships and programmes for international researchers.
