Lamya Abdellaoui awarded by the International Thermoelectric Society
The International Thermoelectric Society (ITS) has awarded Lamya Abdellaoui, doctoral student in the group “Nanoanalytics and Interfaces”, with a Graduate Student Conference Registration Wavier for the 38th International Conference on Thermoelectrics (ICT). Abdellaoui will participate and give a talk at one of the world's largest conferences in this field, which will take place this year in Gyeongju, South Korea.
The ITS promotes the further development of the thermoelectric industry, research and engineering. The society assists and funds 15 graduate students to participate at the ICT by covering the registration fee to the upcoming conference. Thermoelectric materials are used for energy recovery from waste heat and are applied for example in aerospace, automotive or medical fields.
