Maisam Merali wins the 2018 European Placement Prize

Maisam Merali (right) won the 2018 European Placement Prize of the University of Cambridge. The prize is endowed with 250 £ and was handed over by Prof. Paul Midgley (left), head of the department Materials Science and Metallurgy at the University of Cambridge.

Maisam Merali (right) won the 2018 European Placement Prize of the University of Cambridge. The prize is endowed with 250 £ and was handed over by Prof. Paul Midgley (left), head of the department Materials Science and Metallurgy at the University of Cambridge.

Maisam Merali won the 2018 European Placement Prize of the University of Cambridge for his successful placement at the Max-Planck-Institut für Eisenforschung (MPIE). He is undergraduate student at the Department for Materials Science & Metallurgy at the University of Cambridge and came within the CaMPUS programme (Cambridge Materials Placements for Undergraduates in the Summer) for a two-month summer internship to the MPIE to work on the project "Experimental Investigations of Phase Relations in Co-rich Co-Ti Alloys" with Dr. Frank Stein, Prof. Gerhard Dehm and other colleagues of the department Structure and Nano-/Micromechanics of Materials. This Prize is awarded annually to one student and is endowed with £250.
