Maisam Merali wins the 2018 European Placement Prize

Maisam Merali won the 2018 European Placement Prize of the University of Cambridge for his successful placement at the Max-Planck-Institut für Eisenforschung (MPIE). He is undergraduate student at the Department for Materials Science & Metallurgy at the University of Cambridge and came within the CaMPUS programme (Cambridge Materials Placements for Undergraduates in the Summer) for a two-month summer internship to the MPIE to work on the project "Experimental Investigations of Phase Relations in Co-rich Co-Ti Alloys" with Dr. Frank Stein, Prof. Gerhard Dehm and other colleagues of the department Structure and Nano-/Micromechanics of Materials. This Prize is awarded annually to one student and is endowed with £250.
