Enrico Pizzutilo at the 67^th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting

Enrico Pizzutilo, doctoral student in the group “Electrocatalysis“ in the department “Interface Chemistry and Surface Engineering“, had the chance to participate in the 67^th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting, which took place from the 25^th to the 30^th of June 2017 at Lake Constance, Germany. He was one of only 400 junior scientists from all over the world who had been invited to exchange experiences with 30 Nobel laureates from different scientific fields during this interdisciplinary conference. The aim of the renowned meeting is to encourage a dialogue between scientists of different cultures, disciplines and generations.

The Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings take place once a year since 1951 and are rotationally dedicated to the fields of chemistry, physics or physiology and medicine. Additionally, every five years a conference is organized that deals with all three disciplines. Besides the exchange of knowledge, the conference especially focuses on the discourse between young scientists and laureates, which is furthered by several panel discussions, presentations and workshops as well as by a broad framework programme. This year’s topic was about chemistry.
