Martin Friák wins Best Poster Award of the German Physical Society

Martin Friák, associated scientist in the department “Computational Materials Design”, was awarded one of three Best Poster Awards of the Metals and Materials Division at the 80th Annual Conference of the DPG (German Physical Society) and DPG Spring Meeting in Regensburg (6. – 11. March 2016) for the poster “An ab initio high throughput approach to identify Mg-alloys with exceptionally high yield strength” presenting a collaborative work of the two departments “Computational Materials Design” (Martin Friák, Zongrui Pei, Jörg Neugebauer) and “Microstructure Physics and Alloy Design” (Stefanie Sandlöbes, Duancheng Ma, Bob Svendsen, Dierk Raabe) at the Max-Planck-Institut für Eisenforschung.
