Christian Broß awarded with the Max Planck Trainee Prize

Christian Broß has been awarded with this year’s Max Planck Trainee Prize for his outstanding performance during his apprenticeship in the field of materials testing at the Max-Planck-Institut für Eisenforschung (MPIE). The prize was awarded to him by Prof. Raabe, Director of the MPIE, and Herbert Faul, instructor for materials testing. In March 2015 Broß received the first prize for his poster about the “Study of new methods to analyse chromium-nickel steels” at the “Mikpräp 2015”, a conference about microscopy and preparation.

The Max Planck Trainee Prize is endowed with 750 euros and is annually awarded to 20 trainees of all  Max Planck institutes.

In addition to supervising master theses and dissertations, the MPIE offers five apprenticed professions: chemical laboratory assistant, industrial mechanic, IT specialist, material tester and technical software developer.
