Bringing scientists and their research to your local pub, have some drinks and listen to interesting yet understandable talks. That’s the idea behind the “Pint of Science” Festival (https://pintofscience.de/). This year, we are also taking part and presenting our research on May 17th.
From iron in the blade of the Sultans to materials stressful lives and kitchen tiles: Our "material detectives" Ümit Güder, Vivek Devulapalli and Barbara Bellon will introduce their research to you and a broad public.

8.00 pm Barbara: The stressful life of materials
The “Pint of Science” festival originated in London 2012 and was first held in just three cities in 2013. Since then, it took off around the world and is now in over 400 cities. Due to the corona pandemic the talks this year are brought to your home pub via zoom . The talks will be held in English, no registration required.
