MPIE Publication in the Hall of Fame of the journal "Advanced Engineering Materials”

April 24, 2020

A recent publication of the department "Microstructure Physics and Alloy Design" at the Max-Planck-Institut für Eisenforschung (MPIE) has been added to the Hall of Fame of the journal "Advanced Engineering Materials". The article is one of a few invited review articles, highlighting the work of top scientists in the field of technical materials.

In the article, the MPIE team presents solutions for material mechanical and multiphysical problems of metals with complex microstructures using “DAMASK - The Düsseldorf Advanced Material Simulation Kit”. This tool shows some representative application examples for the investigation of metallic microstructures on different length scales.

The Hall of Fame of "Advanced Engineering Materials" was established for the 25-years anniversary of the journal and presents its main topics. Only a small selection of articles is added to the collection during this year. All articles are freely accessible for a limited time.
