Prof. Christina Scheu elected to Review Board of the German Research Foundation
Prof. Christina Scheu, head of the group "Nanoanalytics and Interfaces" at the Max-Planck-Institut für Eisenforschung, has been elected as a new member of the Review Board "Production and Processing of Functional Materials" of the German Research Foundation (DFG).
In the Review Board Election 2019, the scientists who are eligible to vote, elected Prof. Scheu for a total of four years. She is one of four members of her Review Board.
The DFG provides financial support for excellent research projects in Germany. The Review Boards are important in the evaluation process. They evaluate the applications of research projects and give funding recommendations. In addition, they give advice on questions concerning the further development and organisation of the DFG funding programmes. The members of the Review Boards thus play an important role in the further development of the German research landscape.
