Main Focus
My doctoral project focuses on "Exploring dislocation mobility in the presence of abundant point defects". The aim of the work is to develop a understanding of how intense irradiation damage in Nuclear Fusion Reactors contribute to complex deformation mechanisms such as creep. It involves using a variety of simulation schemes, including atomistic simulations, mesoscale modelling and crystal plasticity to model the interaction between crystal defects, primarily being dislocations and point-defects, to inform the design of materials that are more resistant to creep.
