Department Structure and Nano- / Micromechanics of Materials
Mechanics at Chemical Interfaces
Thin Films & Nanostructured Materials

Main Focus

The main focus of Cristiano's work concerns the development of innovative thin film metallic glasses (TFMGs) for stretcheble electronics and biomedical devices. Particular attention is given to the experimental study of the effect of chemical composition and nanostructure on mechanical properties and biodegradability with the support of ab initio calculations.
