Main Focus
My general research interest is understanding the structure-property relationships. The components consisting of the micro/nano-structure such as precipitates, grain/phase boundaries, stacking fault, dislocation, point defects, and so on affect the properties of the material. Especially in the case of the functional materials, they coupled each other and a few amounts of defects could govern the whole functional properties. In this point of view, I would like to answer the resulting functional properties through the obtained knowledge from advanced characterization, especially transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and atom probe tomography (APT).
