Vita
Dr. Barun Bharadwaj Dash is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Sustainable Materials, Düsseldorf, with a Ph.D. (Dual M.S. & Ph.D.) from IIT Madras in Mechanical Behaviour and Structure–Property Correlations in Nickel-Based Superalloys. He is a DAAD Research Fellow alumnus and currently focuses on advanced microstructural characterization using electron microscopy, 3D-EBSD, and ECCI for structure–property correlation research. His core research interests include superalloys, low-cycle fatigue, high-temperature deformation, microstructure–property relationships, and advanced crystallographic and defect characterization methods, with emphasis on fundamental mechanisms governing deformation and damage in high-performance structural materials.
