Supervisory Board
The supervisory board reflects and debates with the MPIE management and shareholders on strategic questions regarding fundamental scientific research related to corporate purpose. It comprises representatives of the federal ministry in charge of the Max Planck Society, the government of North Rhine Westphalia, the Max Planck Society and the Steel Institute VDEh. The composition of the supervisory board is thus a mixture of public representatives, scientists respectively science managers and industry.
