By plane
From Düsseldorf Airport, take a taxi to the MPI, which is located at the intersection of Sohnstraße and Max-Planck-Straße (about 20 minutes, 10 km).
By train
Travel to Düsseldorf Central Station (Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof). In front of the station building, take the no. 834 bus heading for Oberkassel and get out at Sohnstraße (buy a ticket from the driver).The MPI is 100 m ahead on the right.
By car
From the east (south, north) of Düsseldorf:
On the A3 autobahn take the exit Düsseldorf/Mettmann. Drive along the B7 to Düsseldorf. After about 7 km at Staufenplatz (traffic lights), get in the right lane heading for Theodor-Heuss-Brücke. After about 1 km, turn left into Graf-
Recke-Straße. After 300m turn left again into Fritz-Wüst-Straße, and drive about 300 m to reach the MPI on the left.
From the west (south, north) of Düsseldorf:
At the Kaarst intersection of the A52 and A57 autobahns, take the A52 to Düsseldorf, and continue along the B7. About 4 km after Theodor-
Heuss-Brücke, turn right into Graf-Recke-Straße. After 300m turn left into Fritz-Wüst-Straße, and drive about 300 m to reach the MPI on the left.
