There are several elements which characterize the IMPRS-SurMat curriculum. Some of them are mandatory for all SurMat students, at other courses offered the attendance is optional.
The duration for completing a typical thesis within the SurMat program is expected to be three years. Students of SurMat perform their research work in one of four research fields R1 to R4.
